Catholic Praying Cards is an exciting new way to pray the rosary! Each set of mysteries is a deck of cards; each card acts as a “bead” that contains Scripture verses relevant to that mystery. The cards themselves are made of a high-quality linen stock so they have a smooth texture. The text is slightly raised to give it an embossed feel. The bottom of each card has a drawing of ten beads to let the person praying know how far they are in the decade. Each mystery begins with a beautiful piece of art and special care was given to the type and size of font so the entire experience would be ascetically pleasing without being too distracting. Catholic Praying Cards provide a new way to experience the rosary so you can see the face of Jesus through the eyes of his mother and more deeply encounter his love through the words of the Holy Spirit. To Jesus, through Mary!

Joyful Mysteries

This deck gives you everything you need to pray the Joyful Mysteries of the rosary with Scripture! Each card is a “bead” with a Bible verse that prayerfully guides you through each mystery so you can grow closer to Jesus through the intercession of his mother, Mary.

Here is an example of the Scriptures you will meditate upon in the third Joyful Mystery: The Nativity.

  1. In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that the whole world should be enrolled… So all went to be enrolled, each to his own town. And Joseph too went up from Galilee from the town of Nazareth to Judea, to the city of David that is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David to be enrolled with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. —Luke 2:1, 3-5

  2. While they were there, the time came for her to have her child, and she gave birth to her firstborn son… and he named him Jesus. —Luke 2:6, Matthew 1:25

  3. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. —Luke 2:7

  4. Now there were shepherds in that region living in the fields and keeping the night watch over their flock. The angel of the Lord appeared to them and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were struck with great fear. The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord.” —Luke 2:8-11

  5. And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” —Luke 2:13-14

  6. So they went in haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger. When they saw this, they made known the message that had been told them about this child. All who heard it were amazed by what had been told them by the shepherds. And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as it had been told to them. —Luke 2:16-20

  7. When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, in the days of King Herod, behold, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star at its rising and have come to do him homage.” —Matthew 2:1-2

  8. And behold, the star that they had seen at its rising preceded them, until it came and stopped over the place where the child was. They were overjoyed at seeing the star, and on entering the house they saw the child with Mary his mother. —Matthew 2:9-11

  9. They prostrated themselves and did him homage. Then they opened their treasures and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. And having been warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed for their country by another way.—Matthew 2:11-12

  10. All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel,” which means “God is with us.” —Matthew 1:22-23
