These alabaster bookends feature the timeless Madonna of the Streets. Able to keep heavy books in line, they both organize and decorate your home. They make the perfect personal gift for mothers, those in the Pro-Life movement, and all with a devotion to Mother Mary.

The original artwork was titled Madonnina and was painted by Roberto Ferruzzi in the late 1800s. The name means "Little Mother".

The bookends are made from stone-cast alabaster here in our shop in Steubenville, Ohio. Alabaster is a building and decorating material created from the mineral gypsum that has been used since the time of the ancient Egyptian Pharaohs. It boasts an attractive smooth finish.

Each measures roughly 6" x 8", including the 4"x 6" inset image plaque, and is 3" deep.

Text reads:

"Blessed ar the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God."
