Decorate a shelf or night stand with this glossy Saint Jude Diptych. Honor this "Saint of the Impossible" and order for yourself or as a perfect personal gift to a friend, relative, or religious who has a devotion to St. Jude! Diptych displays a vibrant portrait of this Apostle with a flame above his head and an image of Christ pulled to his chest. On the other side of the diptych, there is a prayer to St. Jude.
St. Jude Thaddeus was one of Christ's first Apostles, while also being Jesus' cousin. He authored the book of Jude, a letter to the early churches of the East, while also doing much traveling and sharing the Gospel. A flame is usually depicted above his head as a symbol of the flames that descended upon the Apostles at Pentecost; and he caresses an image of Jesus near his heart for a miracle he worked for a king who had leprosy - the king was cured with this image of Jesus, given to St. Jude by Jesus! For a long period of time, St. Jude was overlooked due to his name being close to Judas Iscariot's, the man who betrayed Christ. However, Jesus inspired devotion to St. Jude through St. Bridget of Sweden, proclaiming him "Patron Saint of the Impossible." St. Jude, pray for us and increase our hope!
Simple Arched Diptych is perfect for desk, shelf and mantle decoration. This durable 6"x8" diptych is manufactured by local workers in Steubenville, Ohio.
