The Ladybug Legend
A pious legend from the Middle Ages says a village was once in great danger after a sudden plague of aphids attacked their crops. The villagers gathered and prayed to Our Lady, asking her intercession to save them from starvation. Suddenly, swarms of bright red beetles appeared and ate all the aphids, saving the crops from destruction. In thanksgiving, the villagers named the strange beetles "Our Lady's Bugs" so that they would forever remember how Our Lady's intercession rescued them from death.
Printed on heavy warm white linen cover, this 4.25"x5.5" card comes with envelopes, and can be bought individually or in bundles of 6.
