To honor the witness of martyr priest Fr. Jacques Hamel, executed during Mass by ISIS, Catholic to the Max is offering holy cards with the image of Father Jacques and the prayer "Blessed be the martyrs."

In the midst of the tragedies of our times, our eyes must always be pointed upwards, to Eternal Life with Jesus. In the midst of the war upon our faith, souls must be strengthened with the courage of God and emboldened by the witness of those who have already given their lives for Jesus. Through the remembrance of Father Jacques, Martyr, may we share his witness and love for God and remind ourselves and others to continue running and finish the race to Heaven, despite maladies, tragedies, and death.

Fr. Jacques Hamel was a French Priest who, at the age of 85, was still actively helping serve a parish. On July 26th, 2016, he was killed while celebrating the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass by two men pledged to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. It is the time of the martyrs. Let us live and die for Jesus.

These holy cards measure 2.5" by 4.25" and are designed and printed in our shop here in Steubenville, Ohio.

Each paper pack contains 50 prayer cards.
Each laminated pack contains 25 prayer cards.

Text reads:
Born 1930

Martyred July 26, 2016

Blessed be the martyrs, who through their sacrifice, give glory to the Most High God! Blessed be the blood they shed, uniting them with the sacrifice of Jesus Christ! May the martyrs be welcomed into the Heavenly Kingdom. Blessed be God, who gives courage to all men! May we, too, finish the race and not lose our souls. Blessed be the families of martyrs, whose hearts have been pierced with sadness. May they be comforted by the Holy Spirit. Blessed be the witness of the martyrs! May their courage confound the darkness and lead souls to Christ! Blessed be the courage of the martyrs! May their example embolden and prepare the hearts of others who will soon face their mortality. Blessed be the martyrs, now and forever! Blessed be God, now and forever!

    Reminder of a modern martyr

Posted by Suzanne on 31st Aug 2016

Thank you, Catholic to the Max for producing these memorial cards. I was able to share them with my Secular Carmelite community and my parish family. They are of the highest quality and will serve as a reminder of a modern disciple of Christ who was called to give his all for our Lord. God bless the work of your hands.

    A meaningful prayer for today

Posted by Unknown on 21st Aug 2016

This prayer directs our attention to the need for God's grace and strength in today's world. From all parts of the world Christians are giving their lives in testimony to their faith. In other areas, while Christians are not called to this type martyrdom, all are required to demonstrate their belief in the one God revealed to us by His Son, Jesus Christ
