In the powerful Renaissance artwork, Mary represents the perfection of womanhood; her face radiating the holiness of her Divine son, Jesus. Completed in 1511, this painting was stolen from Foligno, Italy during Napoleon's invasion in 1799. He commissioned its restoration in 1802. It was returned to Italy after his defeat at Waterloo, and is currently displayed in the Vatican Museum of Art.
This classic black-and-white style print of Raphael's masterpiece is ideal for a mantelpiece or filling an empty frame. This artwork is printed and assembled by local workers in our shop in Steubenville Ohio.
