This reproduction of the "The Last Supper" by Carl Bloch is a richly colored depiction showing Our Lord praying over the Passover meal before His crucifixion. In the foreground, cast in shadow, Judas is stealing away to go betray Jesus to the Jews.

The artist, Carl Bloch (1834-1890) was a Danish painter who depicted historical and religious works. He is known for his romantic use of color and highly realistic style.
