Instead of following the Renaissance classicism that was prominent around him, Matthias Grunewald (c. 1470–1528) continued and furthered a medieval Germanic and Central European style of art in many paintings and altarpieces. This older and yet strong method produced many moving depictions of our Lord and our Blessed Mother.

Beautifully complemented by an antique dark ornate frame and secured, this artwork is printed, assembled and framed by local workers in our shop in Steubenville Ohio and is made to be cherished by your family for generations.
